geekSessions is a high-end technical / networking event that brings recognized experts together to speak on a new topic each Session. As you might guess from the name, our topics are technical in nature. We cover a wide range of topics and attract an audience of technologists, entrepreneurs, and anyone else who hungers for food, drinks, and knowledge.

Shon is Co-Founder of The Forbin Group—a high-tech consulting firm specializing in Modern Development and Scalable Infrastructure. After attending the many tech events in the Bay Area, Shon wanted to see a new kind of event—something more in-depth and more nurturing to his inner geek. After sharing his ideas with Christian Perry over a cup of uber-strong coffee one day, *Poof!* geekSessions was born.

geekSessions History

geekSessions was created in 2007 by Shon Burton of The Forbin Group and Christian Perry of RFOP. In 2008 Shon and his team from The Forbin Group took over the event. Christian is focusing on RFOP and gestating his own secret startup company.
